I Thessalonians 5:20, 21

Do not despise expounding of scripture, but scrutinize all things. Hold fast that which is right.

Not My Problem

There is a saying that keeps wise people out of other people's troubles: "Not my Problem" or NMP. To say there are many problems in the world today, always has been and always will be, is a gross understatement. The question is, does the problem have any thing to do with me? If not, then the problem is NMP. It's somebody else's problem. So when I read the Jewish writer Matthew Rosenberg's piece entitled, "US worries rise over Pakistan crackdown" I think to myself, what goes on in Pakistan is not USrael's problem. The problem is, USrael is sticking their unwanted nose in everyone else's problems all over the world, and oftentimes, by nosing in, create more problems - bigger problems - than if they would just keep their noses out of other people's problems.

"We remain concerned about the continued state of emergency and curtailment of basic freedoms, and urge Pakistani authorities to quickly return to constitutional order and democratic norms," Gordon Johndroe, a spokesman for the National Security Council, said in a statement.

Can you imagine if Pakistani leaders said they were concerned about the continued rise of a fascist Police State in the US, which is indeed happening at this very moment in history, and that Pakistan was concerned about the erosion of constitutional freedoms, election fraud, illegal rendition, torture, the appointment of a torture supporting Attorney General by the torture supporting US Senate? If Pakistani leaders urged US leaders to return "constitutional order and democratic norms," the USrael leaders would go ballistic. USraeli leaders would no doubt tell the Pakistani leaders to keep their noses out of USrael internal affairs.

But when it comes to USrael sticking their long hook-noses into every country in the world because they say it concerns vital "USraeli interests" most people accept that as perfectly legitimate and virtually no one tells USrael to butt out. Why do so few tell USrael to butt out? Because of "aid."

And why is the American taxpayer giving money to Pakistan?

In Washington, where some lawmakers are calling for aid to Pakistan to be curtailed, U.S. officials again criticized Musharraf's crackdown.

USrael has gotten the US taxpayer so deep in un-repayable debt, by just this type of meddling, that is, giving "aid" to foreign countries, which are nothing more than bribes to foreign leaders. When the bribes don't work, that is, the foreign leaders don't do what USrael wants then to do, USraeli lawmakers 'call for aid to Pakistan' to be curtailed. Aid to Pakistan should never have been commenced, never mind curtailed.

USrael should keep their long hooked-noses out of every one's else's business, as their business ii none of the American citizen's business, and their problems are not our problems. Until their problems become our problems, we should take the view of wise men everywhere - "it's NMP." Or as Jefferson said, "beware of foreign entanglements."

We have enough of our own problems to deal with, and, as far as this writer can see, we're not doing too good with any of them.
