Worse and Worse

"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived."

2 Timothy 3:13

Doesn't this sentence of Paul's - recorded over 2000 years ago - describe exactly what we face today - an increasing number of evil men and seducers who are both deceived themselves and deceiving others?
