I Thessalonians 5:20, 21

Do not despise expounding of scripture, but scrutinize all things. Hold fast that which is right.

- I prefer liberty with danger to peace with slavery.

His Workmanship

Awesome thought to consider: "We are his workmanship,  a work, created......" Ephesians 2:10

Ever come up with an idea in your mind, then bring those intangible thoughts into tangible existence by utilizing existing materials to build and develop that idea?

Imagine a Creator who can think of ideas, such as creating a human being - and possessing the power to  create that individual out of materials that He has to create into existence - and then infuse that person, that unique individual with DNA like no other that as ever lived or will live, with a living soul and spirit that can communicate with its Creator - and one barely begins to understand how beyond comprehension our Creator  is.

And we are His workmanship - that which has been made - that which has been created - in Christ Jesus -  the Thought / Expression or Word of God.

Ever think about what words are? Words communicate thoughts. We use words to express our thoughts. Want to know what God is thinking? Consider the Living Word of God, Jesus Christ - He is the expression of his Father - "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.  No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath manifested him."

Consider also Scripture, which in the original Hebrew and Greek is inspired by God and is living and active, a critic of the thoughts and intents of our hearts while we read and study His Word. While we read the Word, the Word is reading us. I find myself much more careful of the thoughts and intentions I may have when I read Scripture when I remember it is also reading me.

As His workmanship, He simply wants us to trust Him - that He will keep his many promises to take care of us - and not allow us to go through anything we can't handle together - as we do those good works ordained, prepared for us, before the foundation of the world, that we should walk in them.

We are His workmanship. We are that which has been made in His image.
